Remarks

Every event that Acuit Pinpoint records about a unit is associated with a specific shift date and shift number. Any event that happens between defined shift times will be assigned to the closest shift; thus, when work is started early, before the shift officially starts, or goes late, past the shift end time, the work will still be associated with the proper shift. Generally, the shifts should be configured in Acuit Pinpoint to match the actual shift schedule start and end times to yield accurate production statistics.

While it is not recommended, to explicitly configure the dividing time between two shifts, use the same time for the earlier shift's end time and the following shift's start time. For example, if shift #1's end time is configured as 2:00 PM and shift #2's start time is configured as 2:00 PM, then anything that happens up to but not including 2:00:00 PM will be assigned to shift #1, and anything that happens at 2:00:00 PM or later will be assigned to shift #2. In this example, the shift #1 end time should not be configured as 1:59 PM; this would cause the dividing time between the two shifts to be 1:59:30 PM.

If no shift schedule is defined for a line, a default shift schedule will be used containing a single shift #1 that starts and ends at midnight.

Shift times cannot overlap.
